Right to Use

LIFE supports the right of any citizen to use and consume whatever they want to, in so far as it does not infringe on the freedom and protection of other citizens without their consent.

The “War on Drugs” has been a failure and only promotes the destruction of our civilisation.

LIFE will introduce a regulatory framework that expands the current tobacco and alcohol licensing arrangements to cover all mind, body and mood altering substances. See Substance Regulation.

Increased spending on regulation, education and treatment will be offset by £1Bn in VAT revenues, and reduced criminal and justice costs (estimated at £300M).

Our policy for regulation to reduce harm has the support of leaders from every corner of the globe.

We recognise that public perception of the risk of harm from various substances is not aligned with the practical reality and the science, and that only reaffirms the desperate need for greater education.
